How verification works
Every claim on a cover is either verified by a connection or a document, or shown as declared. This is the ledger of what we check and how.
| Claim | How we check it | What investors see |
|---|---|---|
| Founder identity | Government ID check (Stripe Identity) matched against the LinkedIn profile on the deck. | Founder verified |
| Company registration | Lookup in the national registry (KRS, Companies House, Handelsregister, OpenCorporates for the rest). Founder must appear as director or shareholder. | Registered company, incorporation date |
| Website traffic | Read-only Google Analytics 4 connection through the GA Data API. We pull sessions and users for the last 30 days, monthly, and never store raw data. | Sessions in the last 30 days with a verified mark |
| Revenue | Read-only Stripe connection (restricted key or Stripe Connect read scope). Paddle and Lemon Squeezy the same way. Bank statement review for offline revenue. | MRR with a verified mark, growth over three months |
| Financial statements | Upload of the latest statements or management accounts. Reviewed by us within two working days. | Financials reviewed, period covered |
| App installs | App Store Connect API key with read-only role or Google Play Console reporting access. | Installs and active devices, verified |
Read-only, revocable, minimal
Connections use the narrowest scope the provider offers: Stripe restricted keys or Connect with read scope, the Google Analytics Data API with a read-only scope on a single property, App Store Connect keys with the reporting role. We store the aggregates we show, never transactions, customers or raw sessions. A founder can revoke a connection at any time; the mark disappears the same moment.
Refresh
Connected numbers refresh monthly. If a refresh fails or the number drops by more than half, the mark is removed until the next successful pull, and the founder is told why.
Human review
Company registration, financial statements and founder identity are checked by us within two working days. We compare the registry entry with the deck, read the statements against the traction page, and match the identity document with the LinkedIn profile.
What we do not do
We do not rate startups, rank them by anything other than how many claims are verified and how recent the deck is, and we do not share decision data between investors.
